New Travel and Tech Start-Up Brings Social Media to the World Booking Market

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 13, 2012

InBed.me, a groundbreaking new social booking site for hostels, beds and couches, has just been launched in November, 2011. The site takes the beauty of the social web and brings it to the travel booking market by allowing people to connect with fellow travelers before their trip even starts. No one has yet figured out how to make travel booking social, and while the product is still in its early phases, all of the development efforts are vacant toward experimenting with different social features, with the goal of appreciative what the users value the most.

The founders, Diego Saez-Gil and Alex Torrenegra, are travelers themselves and the company is a product of their experiences. After backpacking all over the world and realizing first-hand that not all hostels are as fun and social as others, they made a tool that would enable travelers to browse the top hostels in each city as well as connect with others before arriving to their destination to plot trips together and share tips and advice.

“We believe that information empowers consumers, and that is the beauty of the web,” clarifies Saez-Gil. “The online travel industry has done an incredible job by providing consumers with tons of information about options, prices, feature and even user reviews. Now, knowing who else will stay in your accommodation or where your friends or their friends have stayed are vital pieces of information for users. The social web gives us the chance to bring information empowerment to a new level. That is what we are trying to take up with inBed.me.”

One common interest among travelers, especially when they are traveling alone, is safety. Because inBed.me allows backpackers to cover who else will be at their destination before they arrive, travelers are able to see if they are comfortable with the other people who they will be sharing a hostel with. InBed.me users can also plot activities and day trips with likeminded travelers to ensure they will be making the most of their trip. Moreover, any travelers who do not wish to share their information can opt not to and still use the inBed.me tool.

InBed.me has just closed a significant investment from top investors, giving them connections with 25,000 hostel properties around the world, and that number is steadily growing.

Beth Bader, Co-Author of ‘The Cleaner Plate Club,’ Says Fun is Key to Making Healthy Family Resolutions That Succeed in New Year Ahead

Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) January 02, 2012

As we enter the New Year, maybe its time to try a new approach with resolutions. The same-ancient pattern of resolving for a fantastic, healthiest year yet that fades by mid-month ? much less mid-year ? needs a fresh start of its own.

Sometimes resolutions fail because people often make huge plans of sudden change, and the change is not something they want to make, or something simple or pleasurable to alter. Resolutions often mean giving up pleasure, not gaining it. It gets more complicated if those resolutions made are for the whole family, not just an individual.

“If, at 12:01 a.m. January first, you started passing around the tray of broccoli bites to your vegetable-hating family, it?s a excellent bet that resolution lasted only until 12:02 a.m.,” says Beth Bader, co-author of healthy family cookbook, The Cleaner Plate Club.

Often, it seems like the only people who succeed at those New Year?s goals are those highly motivated already. The excellent news is, but, that when fun is added to the equation, less highly motivated people may really perform better, according to an intriguing study by researchers Dolores Albarrac
